Some people knew him as Alan others as Ray. It didn’t matter what you called him he would always answer. When someone needed help my uncle would show up to save the day. It didn’t matter if it was a small issue or helping his best friend bring in the crops.
My uncle was a father to his daughter Tara, his son Kenneth, and his bonus daughter Carlie. He was married to Cecilia, the love of his life.
Fun fact about Ray: He loved John Deere tractors.
Unfortunately, Cancer stole his life. Our uncle didn’t know he was sick until it was too late. This is why Jim McNeil chose the Heartland Cancer Foundation as our charity for the cruise.
Alan Ray McNeil was born on October 23rd in 1959 in Lincoln, Nebraska to loving parents Kenneth and Elnora McNeil.
On August 14th in 2024 he passed away at the age of 64.
